At the very beginning of my PhD, I attended the StatMathAppli 2023 conference in Fréjus, France. I followed lectures by Gareth O. Roberts (University of Warwick) on retrospective simulation, and Marco Cuturi (ENSAE, Apple ML Research, Paris) on Optimal Transport.
